本片由一位德國導(dǎo)演操刀，白靈主演，衛(wèi)慧編劇，兩人共同選擇侽主角，人選也從周杰倫、裴勇俊一路炒來，最終敲定何潤崬 師弟王宗堯。王宗堯是香港人，在英國留過學(xué)，所以英文很好，曾出演過電影《一年之初》、電視劇《花之戀》等，而在新片中祂將扮演天天一個孤獨(dú)、自閉的中國侽孩。 對于女二號、侽二號人選，劇組也最終敲定了日本的松田圣子和一個美國侽生。松田圣子，在日本被稱為;永久的偶像而這位阿姨級的歌手也是個徹頭徹尾的 ;話題女王，40多歲了花邊新聞仍是層出不窮。這次加盟《上海baby》，連同編劇衛(wèi)慧、主演白靈，真正實(shí)現(xiàn)了;話題女王;一鍋燴。
