美國男孩斯考迪(斯科特·麥克洛維茨 Scott Mechlowicz 飾)在德國網(wǎng)友米克(杰茜卡博爾絲 Jessica Bohrs 飾)的幫助下,德語成績大有進步,學習飛越然后高中畢業(yè)的他卻迎來了被女朋友甩的倒霉事,淪為朋友庫柏(雅克布彼茨 Jacob Pitts 飾)的笑柄。斯考迪接到米克寄來的電郵,信中希望能和他見見面,看看這個通了幾年信的朋友。然而,斯考迪卻有點猶豫,米克這個名字,貌似是一個男孩子。于是,他拒絕了這個請求。還是別人提醒了斯考迪,在德國,米克是個女生名字。斯考迪如夢初醒,決定要親自前往歐洲去尋找米克。于是,斯考迪和庫柏上路了,還在中途遇到了幾個同行的年輕人。一幫不諳世事的年輕人可不是一路順風,哭笑不得的事情屢屢發(fā)生,不過功夫不負有心人,當斯考迪找到米克的時候,他被面前這個金發(fā)火辣的美女攝走了魂!瘋狂的度假正式開始。

Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night.   However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements.   Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
