凱倫·吉蘭、瑪格麗特·蘇菲·斯坦、杰梅因·福勒、凱文·尼倫、塔利亞·巴爾薩姆將主演喜劇新片《大器晚成》(Late Bloomers),麗莎·斯蒂恩首導劇情長片,已在紐約殺青。                                                                        斯蒂恩的多部短片搭檔安娜·格林菲爾德寫劇本,松散基于她20多歲時居住在布魯克林的經歷,講述露易絲(吉蘭)是一個漫無目的的千禧一代,某天她醉醺醺地摔到了臀部,為此接受了物理治療,在那里結識了一位不會說英語的年長波蘭女士,兩人成為了閨蜜。而正是這種不太可能的友誼讓露易絲有勇氣面對她一直在逃避的事情:她母親的早發性老年癡呆癥。                                                                        福勒飾演露易絲的室友/房東布里克,尼倫和巴爾薩姆飾演露易絲的父母。

羅莎夫人

Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night.   However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements.   Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
