好像一切都很糟糕

Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 北京猿人

　　侵華戰爭時期，日本人將掠得的北京猿人頭骨偷運回國，途中沉沒，成為一樁疑案。當年日本人將頭骨化石偷運回國，隱藏幾十年后，在和平環境下重新進行研究。他們將頭骨化石中的DNA殘片提取出來，進行培育，然后送入太空，據說這樣便可以憑借太空中的粒子幅射，使其蘊育成熟。不料，載著北京猿人胚胎的飛船失事，墜入海島，而北京猿人卻成功地誕生了。　　而王祖賢扮演的中國美麗女間諜的使命就是將北京猿人偷運回國，從此便和日本科學家展開了明爭暗斗。最后，雙方不分輸贏，而是達成了共識：北京猿人不是任何一國的財富，他們屬于大自然。于是，猿人一家三口和一只同樣由基因技術復制出來的猛瑪象被放歸了自然。

愛情儲蓄罐

　　智雄（宋仲基 飾）大學畢業后便整日游手好閑。某天他認識了從對面天臺跳過來撿瓶子的怪女人紅實（韓藝瑟 飾）。守財如命的紅實盯上了智雄住所的搬遷費，她暗中找到智雄的房東，把租房合同改到自己名下，令智雄無家可歸。看到對方依舊樂觀的樣子，受到觸動的紅實承諾幫助他在短期內攢到巨款。毫不知情的智雄對紅實的“善心之舉”懷抱感激。他開始學習無條件聽從紅實的命令，但是時常暴露的敗家本性又總會惹惱紅實。　　紅實雖然異常吝嗇，內心深處卻也有著女人的夢想。她把辛苦攢到的錢交給意中人（李相燁 飾）托管，期望有一天能成為配得上對方的好女人。卻不料一日意中人與情人攜款逃跑，令紅實深受打擊。而智雄也終于得知當初無家可歸的內幕，感到被利用的他是否會原諒紅實？

村在天堂邊

在索馬里沙漠的一個偏遠村莊，一個小男孩和爸爸、姑姑一同生活。父親靠臨時工作支撐家用，姑姑因為婚姻危機無奈躲到此處。他們樸素的心愿因為混亂不安的社會環境變得遙不可及，但家人之間仍充滿溫情瞬間。索馬里裔奧地利導演莫·哈拉韋的長片首作通過一個臨時家庭的境遇來展現動蕩時局對個人生活的吞噬。導演溫柔看待三位主人公，他以精致的構圖和色彩，在有條不紊的節奏下，安靜有力地鋪陳越發緊迫的生存之戰。本片是首部入圍2024年戛納電影節的索馬里題材影片，并一舉入圍一種關注單元和導演首作金攝影機獎兩大單元。
