悲愁物語
極東會(huì)社全力打造體操女明星以提高企業(yè)知名度的策略大獲成功，這令其對(duì)手日榮會(huì)社甚感焦急。社長井上（仲谷昇飾）緊急召開高層會(huì)議，經(jīng)過一輪磋商和專業(yè)選拔，最終選定年輕貌美的高爾夫球手櫻庭麗子（白木葉子飾）為公司的代言人，其戀人三宅精一（原田芳雄飾）擔(dān)任麗子的教練。經(jīng)過一番緊張、艱苦的特訓(xùn)，麗子終于在全國性的大賽中獲勝，她的人氣和日榮的聲望瞬間飆升。在此之后，她以五千萬日元的報(bào)酬簽約日榮，演出、主持、比賽各種應(yīng)酬不斷。生活條件逐漸改善，麗子卻發(fā)現(xiàn)她已和愛情、自由越來越遠(yuǎn)本片根據(jù)漫畫家梶原一騎原作改編，系異色導(dǎo)演鈴木清順沉寂十年后的復(fù)出之作。

All goes well initially. Renting an apartment in Metta, a rundown Khmer Rouge-era housing complex, her visit to her maternal relatives finds her welcomed with open arms. But Soriya’s waking hours in the apartment and its surroundings are punctuated by terrifying, bloody visions, almost as though she were a conduit for horrors of the past wanting to seep into the present. Inrasothythep Neth and Sokyou Chea’s blood-chilling psychological horror explores a personal and political past through the present, transforming a characterful space into an insidious environment. Surrounded by modern high-rises, this decrepit structure, with its brutalist architecture and peeling surfaces, is a relic from a dark period in history whose painful memories it has absorbed. In tracing Soriya’s ominous journey back to her roots, Tenement hints at a necessary reckoning with Cambodia’s political past without overplaying its historical dimension. It’s an impressive work from a woefully underrepresented national cinema.
