　　Following her mother’s death, manga artist Soriya travels to her ancestral home in Phnom Penh, with hopes of reconnecting with her distant family and using the visit as inspiration for her work. All goes well initially. Renting an apartment in Metta, a rundown Khmer Rouge-era housing complex, her visit to her maternal relatives finds her welcomed with open arms. But Soriya’s waking hours in the apartment and its surroundings are punctuated by terrifying, bloody visions, almost as though she were a conduit for horrors of the past wanting to seep into the present.　　Inrasothythep Neth and Sokyou Chea’s blood-chilling psychological horror explores a personal and political past through the present, transforming a characterful space into an insidious environment. Surrounded by modern high-rises, this decrepit structure, with its brutalist architecture and peeling surfaces, is a relic from a dark period in history whose painful memories it has absorbed. In tracing Soriya’s ominous journey back to her roots, Tenement hints at a necessary reckoning with Cambodia’s political past without overplaying its historical dimension. It’s an impressive work from a woefully underrepresented national cinema.

　　在一個喧鬧、嘈雜的迪廳中，一群衣著時尚暴露的青年男女正在吸食著毒品，隨著毒品效果的發作，男女們的行為更加放蕩，而就在這群人中一個憂郁冷峻的年輕人林雨（任泉 飾）正在若有所思的抽著煙。這時，大批的警察突襲迪廳，混亂中林雨奮力的向外沖去，慌忙中他把一個擋在面前的警察扎倒在地……黎明，驚魂未定的林雨被帶進了城東看守所，獄警盧建軍（果靜林 飾）在一旁冷眼旁觀，然而讓他始料不及的是，一段被埋藏了二十多年的驚天秘密，將在他和這個鋃鐺入獄的年輕人之間展開。

 影片基于蘇格蘭作家阿拉斯代爾·格雷所著同名小說，融合現實主義、奇幻、科幻元素，將弗蘭肯斯坦的故事重塑，設定在維多利亞時代晚期，逃避丈夫虐待卻不幸身亡的女子貝拉（艾瑪·斯通 Emma Stone 飾），在被科學家成功復活后，心智停留在孩童階段，卻也對未知世界充滿渴望；她與放蕩律師私奔踏上挖掘自我的冒險，試圖擺脫時代對女性偏見，追求平等與性解放。
